XYZ triple corner joint for 1/2" square aluminum tube
thingiverse
I needed a simple triple corner bracket (XYZ) to make an lightweight, inexpensive, and fully removable aluminum enclosure lid for my SainSmart Coreception 300, but this concept could be used for any lid/enclosure/box/whatever. I picked up some straight 1/2" aluminum square fence tubing for $1/lb at the local scrap yard and cut them to the desired lengths. I'll update this post later with pics once I enclose the lid, add a front door, and wire it up with an exhaust fan and lights. Thanks to @quintesse's original work this took me literally 5 minutes to remix/design in Sketchup; I only needed to enlarge the dimensions slightly and add an additional axis peg.
