parts list 3 2mmx9 pogo pins 2mm pin,5mm tube,2mm tail https://www.ebay.com/itm/224493854532 Arduino nano https://www.ebay.com/itm/254921368320 SMD Vertical Tactile Mini Micro Momentary Push Button Switch https://www.ebay.com/itm/223492387652?var=522247396284 it is more practical to buy one of these rather than build it but if you want to make 3 restters to be able to change any cartridge from-to,1-ABS,1-PLA,1-flex,then this is the more practical way to do it. you can buy 1 Arduino and just the number of pogo pins and smd switches from mouser or Digikey but it is a nightmare to find anything in their search engine way overload with to many finds and you realy are not saving anything as their prices are a little high. also you will have Arduino to play with and pogo pins and switches for other projects. included is the Arduino program and the xyz filament resetter program,this new program the way it is written requires you to have the Arduino programmer running in monitor mode and requires you to press enter to finish the chip reset function. the program also allows you to change temps and filament type this is the reason that the new release of this re-setter says for ABS because it will reset any chip you have to ABS. well after ver xyz ver1.1 the temps are no longer in the filament chip it has ben put into the bios so you cant change it even if you wanted to,so that function is absolutely useless. needless to say I have rewritten the bloody thing so that it now does not touch any thing other than resetting the counter which is what we all want with it anyways,and auto resets with out having to use the Arduino program.? I have included the original xyz reset program as well if you have a PLA chip but you nead it to be a ABS chip you can do that. I recently had lost this reset-er in two moves and had to find the one I purchased from WTEC it looks like they are no longer in business,anyways the thing was not programed and did not work realy wish I would have tested the thing 5 years ago and could have had it programed,but any hoot I do not like the case or how it works,so when I found this re setter again I have remade the case and at least we have it in archive here. this model the reason I like it better is because it locks into place then you just press the button and it works so nicer better than the others hear that you just hold it in with pressure. Arduino program settings this is all new to me I have had a Arduino learning kit for a while now but have never used it as I have never ben able to program a Arduino with out errors and had tried every setting in the Arduino program with no help so this is how I have finaly figured out how to set it up in the program settings that seem to work,at least for the above Arduino . these Arduino that I purchased are not genuine they are made by ATMEGA,I was able to program one 1 time and could not reprogram it again took me a half hour of fighting to finaly get it cleared and now it is working fine so be aware of this with these once you get it cleared the first time they work perfictly from there on. Board Arduino Nano processor ATmega328p if you are encountering problems try unplugging from the cable then plug back in and change the processor to ATmega328p (old boot loader),with another Arduino UNO I had to set this to old boot loader to make it work?. don't worry about boot loader settings these are for burning a new boot loader to the arduino, Wiring If you use the switch it is a break in the single wire. If you choose not to use the switch and wire the pogo pins direct then connect the resetter to the cartridge before you plug it in to avoid a partial connection that might make the cartridge chip never readable again,I had done this with one using a pressure fit resetter this is why I hate those because it is just to easy to damage a cartridge chip with a partial connection.
