XYZ Filament Spool Re- Winder for Drill
thingiverse
I absolutely adore this cartridge, so I created a special attachment for my trusty drill to rewind third-party filament effortlessly back onto the daVinci spool. Simply lift open your cartridge and carefully remove the spool. Next, mount it securely to this clever device, and then use it with your drill to fill the daVinci spool with ease. Finally, reassemble your cartridge, and you'll be printing like a pro in no time. To complete this ingenious setup, you'll need to add a suitable drill-driving bit – I used an adapted screwdriver bit that I carefully heated up before pressing it into the pre-molded drive slot. It's a match made in heaven: the attachment works flawlessly, and I couldn't be more pleased! When printing these custom screws, remember to prioritize infill for optimal durability. For my part, I opted for a minimum of 40% infill, and that worked out wonderfully. The layer height also performed admirably up to an impressively small 0.3mm. The print you see here was even done at an astonishingly fine resolution of 0.1mm / 50% infill. This particular design was expertly crafted in Inventor and successfully built using the reliable XYZ 3D printer, running Repetier software with precision.
