I wanted to transform my XYZ Davinci 1.0 into a dual extruder with auto bed leveling. I swapped out my controller for an MKS Gen V1.4, acquired a Chimera clone, extra motor, and BLTouch. The challenge was ensuring that this upgrade wouldn't significantly reduce the available bed space. With this XCarriage design, I retained a full 200x200 mm of printing area and approximately 195mm of height clearance. Three linear bearings are required to attach this to the xcarriage rods; once they're in place, you can remove the xcarriage for maintenance without disassembling the entire printer. I also installed a PLA part cooling fan, which is a makeshift solution but effective for now. Future upgrades will include redesigning that tiny fan hole and adding an LED light bar to the print head. To mount two Bowden extruders, use Thingiverse model #2826923.
