XYZ Da Vinci (and other?) Bearing holder replacement part
thingiverse
Here's a little something you may want to print before you need it. Luckily, I upgraded to the XYZ Pro so I had another printer to fix the broken machine. My older Da Vinci 1.0 was not printing well at all. The circles had drifted out of round to an extremely annoying degree, so I went to tighten the belts only to find that one of my belt adjustments was maxed out completely. Upon closer inspection, I found that one of the plastic cups that hold the shaft bearings for the Y axis drive system was broken into several pieces. Upon disassembly, the other cup cracked as well (see them both in the picture). They were very brittle to begin with. I see in the new machine they are made from a different material so I have to assume this was a problem. This is a replacement piece for that which is broken. I created two versions. One with tabs for the tension springs, which were not broken so I didn't replace them, and another for the motor side where I replaced both of them. Perfect fit first time and an hour later my printer is happy again in that whole EMO sort of way....
