I've engineered a bespoke spool holder featuring additional components that allow you to store filament inside the Da Vinci enclosure, maintaining everything neat, tidy, and well-organized. The custom-designed spool holder may appear standard, but I've implemented it to "engage" into the slots on either side of the Da Vinci, securing the spool firmly in place. UPDATE: Fresh versions of corner hoop and distributor have been uploaded, sporting a design that "clicks" seamlessly into position, thereby reducing the need for adhesive (resulting in increased reliability). ANOTHER UPDATE: The initial version of the distributor failed to hold up after 10 hours of printing, so I've added Version3, along with Distributor_nut. Printing these components simultaneously is essential – simply twist the nut onto the bottom of the distributor to lock it securely into place. AND ANOTHER UPDATE: Check out various remixes prior to printing; community contributors have successfully addressed a few issues with the design through innovative solutions. Instructions: Print the spool holder frame (Support suggested) & one set of bushings. Scaling straight bushings might be necessary for optimal spool fitment. Assemble using two colored/round pencils. The tabbed frame should fit snugly into either side's slots on the Da Vinci. Next, print the Corner Bracket & Hoop and securely glue them together with high-temperature adhesive. Press the assembled bracket firmly into the Davinci's rear square corner. Finally, print Filament Distributor, applying ample hot glue directly above the Z axis screw to secure it in place. Now, thread the filament underneath the spool holder, through the corner hoop, and ultimately through the distributor.
