
XYZ Da Vinci 1.0 Three fan extruder carriage.

I am currently developing a new extruder for my Da Vinci 1.0, drawing inspiration from Budas' design for 1.75mm filament. My version features two front fans that blow air directly onto the heat-sink, while the third fan acts as an extractor, evacuating hot air from the chamber and expelling it through a duct in the carriage to the printing area. This new extruder is optimized for 15mm linear bearings. Three clear covers between the fans enhance airflow efficiency. I adapted direct drive from jsirgado's design: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:783288. As of May 4, 2015 at 8:50 pm, I updated my design by simplifying the band grip for easier fit and improving heat-sink efficiency. On May 7, 2015, I further enhanced the design with general improvements in presentation and performance. I added a border to prevent sensor snagging on the x-axis and resized the carriage to prevent entanglement. Additionally, I included printer branding for a more professional appearance and improved side covers for better airflow.
