XYZ Calibration Cube with Chamfers and Rounded Edges ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional features compared to the original version: - Chamfers on top and bottom at 45° prevent elephant footprint from affecting results - Rounded edges eliminate acceleration/jerk settings influence on results After printing, measure dimensions in X, Y, and Z direction. Then adjust steps/mm settings according to this formula: e = Expected dimension (20 mm or 40 mm) o = Observed dimension (measured with caliper) s = Current number of steps per mm (send M503 to printer) (e/o) * s = New number of steps/mm Note: -------- Adjusting X, Y, and Z step values should only be done after confirming other parameters are set correctly, which can also influence cube dimensions: - Bed Leveling - Material and bed temperature - Flow or Extrusion Multiplier - E steps - Line Width Step values for X, Y, and Z are determined by geometry and motor and usually do not differ significantly from manufacturer settings. Two versions (20 mm and 40 mm) are available. The larger one allows for a more accurate measurement with smaller relative error.
