XY-table (unfinished)
thingiverse
My contest to create an XY-table, as seen on http://www.bitsfrombytes.com/wiki/index.php?title=User:MarcusWolschon/Challenges and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1757, might have been overly complex, leading me to design the basic frame myself for a starting point. To complete the project, add a work surface, handle, and an additional piece to hold a captive nut in the middle while screwing it to the inner side of the frame above for movement. Additionally, drill holes for table mounts, remove material from the bearing hole's overhang, and include a smaller hole behind the bearings to avoid contact between the moving inner part and frame, only allowing contact with the outer static part. Parametric original files are provided within the limitations of Alibre Design's free version or the 30-day test version.
