XY Table
cults3d
I made this for my brother so he can have sensors or equipment navigate over a microwell plate, which you can learn more about at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microtiter_plate. It might not be super useful to anyone else, but I'm sharing it here just in case someone is interested. I added the SketchUp model for any parts that I missed on the STL files, so use that to extract the pieces you need. I didn't go into a full assembly description, but if you want more details, check out this post at LMR - it also has a video: http://letsmakerobots.com/node/31381. UPDATE: Just now, I got some information about the 28BYJ-48 steppers that I used, and unfortunately, they're not reliable for high accuracy. So if you're trying to build an XY table with sub-mm precision, you might want to look into other stepper motors instead. Here's the info I found: http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,71964.0.html
With this file you will be able to print XY Table with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on XY Table.
