XXL LCD front cover mesh fix
thingiverse
I printed this case (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:393856) as the notch at the top left was perfect for holding the sliding print bed, since the original model sometimes hit the LCD display case. In the middle of printing the front part of the case, it suddenly started printing four solid layers before returning to normal. I checked the reviews and found that another person had experienced the same issue. (Pictures of mesh problems attached) I reached out to Simplify3D for assistance and was fortunate enough to have one of their support specialists repair the mesh using S3D and send the corrected file back, which printed perfectly. I thought it would be helpful to share this updated file since it makes a great printer part for the Robo R1. Download the back of the case from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:393856 and combine it with my modified front part; it should print well. Shout-out to Simplify3D, an excellent product that offers fantastic support. I've attached the updated file along with before-and-after pictures of the print.
