XVS No Front Fender Brake Line Guard
thingiverse
So the winter's finally over and now it's time to test your project out for real. During the rebuild, you'll notice that the fender isn't going to fit with the new tire at all - I was a little skeptical about using it in the first place. But then it hits you: without the fender, those shiny new steel-braided brake lines will rub right up against the tire! You can pretty much bet your bike on never riding into the woods without a trusty knife by your side, so don't even think about taking a ride without some reliable zip-ties. Now, attaching brake lines with just a couple of zip-ties is definitely overkill for this project - but hey, sometimes that's what happens when you're passionate about something! I made this awesome brake line guard for my trusty XVS 650 bike and guess what? It'll work on yours too. All you guys out there who are always up for an adventure on the open roads should keep your eyes peeled for this project of mine. By the way, big shoutout to www.protech.se - without them, I wouldn't be where I am today. Now onto some useful info: If you're wondering why I didn't have any instructions for you to follow, it's because I just realized that I'd lost my previous save, so those screw holes are a little off. All you'll need to do is give 'em a good filing down and you'll be golden.
