This is a complete setup to convert your X3S to a Direct Drive with a Satsana, Fan design in for 4020/4010 front and a 5015 on the side. Notes. I printed this on a Elegoo Mars 2. I recommend using a SLA printer with light or medium supports. After printing, wash but do not cure. Run bolts in all of the holes and leave in during curing. Remove supports after wash but BEFORE curing. Curing, I recommend two minutes each side. (be sure to leave the bolts in during the curing process. Resin. I used elegoo grey for testing, final parts were made in Siraya Tech Build, however, the standard resin would and should be fine. Fans. I used Winisinn 4020 and 5015 and thats what I recommend (see cautions below). If your not using 4020 fan, then no upgrade will be neccessary to the heater). CAUTION> with this setup and the stock heater, your printer will not be able to reach over 215 degrees. It will thermal time out. The 4020 alone will keep the block cool enough to stop you from reaching over 215c, if you turn on the 5015 to more than 30 percent it will cool down the block and nozzle faster than the block can heat up and thermal time out. If you are going to run the 4020 setup, you MUST upgrade the heater to a 60w version. The Satsana has two bolts that hold it in, one is in the right part cooler vent and must be installed from the rear through the gantry plate and then into the satsana vent. you must install the LEFT bolt first, the swing the satsana in place and tighten the right side bolt. The Direct Drive mount is designed for either the stock or a pancake nema 17. I designed it to use the metal upgrade ender 3 extruder. The stock Xvico extruder will fit but you will have to modify the feed lever, Your on your own for this. If using the ender 3 extruder you will have to change phases on the motor so it spins in the correct direction. The Gantry Plate: You will have to lightly ream out the lower wheel hole with a round file. This was done on purpose as every printer is different and this part is critical. The Belt Slots are designed for the belt to go over the top of the top, around the back and then up through the hole and be zip tied/ clamped. Enjoy!
