thingiverse
Behold the mighty XTRKTR! It mounts to the end of these handy soldering helpers with an M4 screw driven through the orange end-piece, which must be removed first to insert the screw.\r\n\r\nBetween the honeycomb end and the fan is a space where you can place a piece of active charcoal filter mat.\r\n\r\n- A 40x40x56.3mm 12V server cooling fan (Nidec UltraFlo R40W12BS5AC-65) or similar model\r\n- Filter Mat cut to size\r\n- A 2.5x5.5mm DC barrel plug socket, or simply glue a cable into the hole (mine is from RND connect)\r\n- A mini power rocker switch with a 13.8x9.1mm panel hole\r\n- Some M4 screws or similar hardware\r\n\r\nAlthough it's quite loud, this unit really draws the soldering fumes away from your face in a way that most commercial units never do.
