The driver's side door of my 2005 Xtrail stopped working correctly from the exterior. To fix it, I placed a small part onto the S-shaped rod and used it to nudge the tiny clip back into position. A 3D printed TPU piece with a firm texture, produced at 20% infill, worked perfectly for this task.
