Colors are dialed in precisely: red is muted to half its intensity, blue pulses at an energetic 12 units, and yellow radiates a vibrant 5 units. Meanwhile, the trails themselves blend seamlessly into the background with an all-encompassing gray tone. On the course, runners are averaging paces ranging from 5 minutes to a blistering 15 minutes per mile, showcasing their impressive endurance. A unique time scale is also in effect: each second on screen corresponds directly to one minute of real-world time, and the starting gun sounds a full 10 minutes after the half-mile mark for both the 5 and 12-minute pace groups.
