XT60H Panel Mount
thingiverse
I needed a custom panel mount connector that could handle high DC current and I had a ton of XT60H connectors on hand, but most Thingiverse models I saw didn't work with my XT60H because they have a slight design difference due to the cap covering the solder joints. So, I decided to design my own. This two-part design sandwiches the small 1mm ridge on the XT60H between the parts, locking it into place so that pushing and pulling on the connector won't move it. The hole diameter is 24mm. The default STL accommodates a hole depth of 19.7mm, but you can customize this using the included Fusion 360/step files. Don't edit the "Front" part - it needs to remain fixed to properly seat the XT60H. To adjust for your desired hole depth, modify two different faces using the extrude operation in Fusion 360, as shown in the screenshot in the photos. You can extend or shorten the inner barrel by extruding the inner face for holes greater than 13.9mm deep, or you can create a sheathe around the inner barrel of the front part by extruding the outer ring for holes less than 13.9mm deep. You won't need to use the wire caps on the XT60H's - this model will cover the solder joints with plastic and I also used wire shrink to prevent shorts. Make sure to put the wire shrink and wires through the back part before soldering. The halves are secured with two M2 screws, but try not to over-tighten as you may strip the plastic. Either the male or female connector can be used as the embedded connector. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments.
