XT60/XT30 mount

XT60 is hands down my top lipo connector pick. The single sticking point I have with the connector is that I've yet to find a female XT60 connector that can be mounted onto something solid. Dangling battery leads from multicopters really bugs me - they need to be properly secured to the frame. The XT60-connector's physical design makes it tough to craft a decent holder for it. There's hardly anything to grasp, which means the connector keeps getting pulled out together with the battery contact. As I haven't found any holders I like, I took matters into my own hands and created one myself. My design is optimized for compactness while maintaining a secure grip by leveraging the only part of the connector that can be gripped: those square cuts at the bottom. The holder should be 3D-printed with an infill of about 75-80% so it won't collapse when you tighten the screws. If weight savings are paramount, you can use just the top portion of the holder. This will let you save a few millimeters on each side and even eliminate some excess material from the lower part itself. Using both the upper and lower sections of the mount gives an even firmer hold on the connector. And as a bonus, scaling the mount down to 65% of its original size makes it suitable for XT30 connectors too! What's more, M2 screws will fit right into those downscaled holes. kudos to irun4fundotca for posting pics of his scaled mount online - check 'em out here: http://www.thingiverse.com/make:134242
