XT60 mount
thingiverse
This is an XT60 mount designed as a remix of the model found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:702525. Like the original, my design features two pieces that require nuts and bolts to assemble. To hold the XT60 female connector in place, I've used square XT60 labels, just like the original. You can use this model as a base to attach the female connector to any other component. The main difference between my model and the original is that the support structure has been enlarged for easier attachment. Along with the modification files created using OpenSCAD, I'm including the top and lower parts of the original model, marked as 702525_xt_lower.stl and 702525_xt_upper.stl. You don't need to print the lower part, but you will need to print the upper part for my design to work. Please refer to the Print Settings section below for more details. Print Settings: * Printer Brand: RepRap * Printer Model: prusa i3 * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.2 mm height * Infill: 100% Notes: You'll need to print two files: xt60mount.stl and 702525_xt60_top.stl. The other .stl and .scad files are used in conjunction with OpenSCAD. Post-Printing: Build Instructions: To assemble the XT60 mount, you'll need two M3 15mm bolts, two M3 nylock nuts, and four M3 washers. Make sure you have printed both the mount and top parts correctly. Check that the M3 bolt can be screwed into each of the holes on the parts. Insert the female XT60 connector into the mount, ensuring that the XT60 label aligns with the two outlined lines on the mount. Place the top part over the mount and connector, making sure the label matches the two outlined lines on the top part. Screw the M3 bolt into the holes. Place washers to distribute pressure evenly on both sides, but avoid over-screwing.
