XT60 & LED Quadcopter Mount - Emax Nighthawk 250

thingiverse

This is a versatile mounting system designed specifically for securely attaching an XT60 adapter to an Emax Nighthawk 250 frame at its rear. The mount positions the XT60 in a vertical orientation, effectively keeping the battery cable out of harm's way from the propellers when mounted on top of the frame. This setup also simplifies disconnecting the two battery connectors and provides vital strain relief for wiring looms. This system is highly modular, allowing it to be adapted into multiple configurations: As an XT60 Mount only: Simply print the top and bottom mounts and secure them using two M3 nut and bolt pairs. Both brackets are attached from beneath the quadcopter's frame. The lower bracket can be oriented in either direction - choose the angle that provides the best grip on the XT60 plug. As both an XT60 Mount and an LED Holder: Follow the steps for option 1, but also print and attach the LED holder below. As a rear LED Holder/Mount only: Utilize the same M3 hardware. An LED strip can be mounted inside a vertical slot with a cable-routing cut-out. To grasp how this system fits together, refer to the file named 'complete'. Update - 04/08/2016 The upper mount has been modified for improved compatibility across various frame clones by increasing the fillet radius at its edges. Additionally, some height was added to the inner section for enhanced friction fit. If you'd like to use this updated version, look for the 'XT60_Top_Mount_2.stl' file.
