XT60 Grip and Wire Strain Relief

XT60 Grip and Wire Strain Relief

thingiverse

This design is for improved grips for XT60 connectors to make disconnecting them easier. It also will strain relief wires. Split in half to allow assembly onto existing connections, but that means they do require gluing. Additionally, the + and - symbols need to be filed off the female connector. Single and double wire versions are included, as are step versions of all models to facilitate customization. Additionally, the Fusion 360 file has been added; it contains parameters to generate new versions of the grips. The halves are modeled to be slightly too deep so that they can be filed to a good fit. Similarly, the cable holes are undersized and should be filed (or drilled if the halves are clamped together in a vise - be careful!) to squeeze the wires enough to strain relief them. I had good luck printing several sizes of these with two 0.9 mm thick walls (using a 0.6 mm nozzle) and 20% infill.
