XR650L Choke Lever
thingiverse
I 3D printed this piece in PLA for a trial run and it worked out great. From now on, it'll be printed in Taulman nylon 910 because nylon is incredibly strong and can withstand higher temperatures than most other filaments. The design closely resembles the original part but I've left off the spring-loaded ball on the underside of the lever since friction does a good job keeping it engaged during startup. When printing with nylon, I discovered that I had to enlarge the holes by 0.5mm over the initial 0.1mm I allowed for clearance. To help out others who might be facing similar issues, I've uploaded an updated file with larger holes specifically designed for printing in nylon. The clutch lever shown in the picture is actually a design from another creator and I plan to print it out in nylon as well. I'll experiment with different infill percentages and patterns to see which combination provides the best stiffness.
