thingiverse
Create a spool holder with adapters for commercial and custom spools, made from MDF and cardboard tubes. Position it on a shelf, desk, or floor or leave unused. To assemble, print two adapter copies per spool, drill holes to 1/2", insert 608 bearings, and attach with threaded rods and nuts. Use an 8" cardboard tube from the hardware store, adjusting the holder pocket for your tube's diameter; cut tubes into 4" pieces using a table saw.
