XMR/C M1 'Modular' Frame Replacement
thingiverse
This was a concluding assignment for an 'applied learning' high school course, and I plan to revisit the concept with more substantial content in the future. The provided frame is a replacement design developed specifically for the XMR/C M1 drone, which may have been seen hovering around. Each motor arm is separate, allowing disassembly without the need for any hand tools. This theoretically offers several benefits, including the ability to replace individual motor arms and customize their geometry by designing new ones. However, they are more fragile than the original drone's injection-molded frame, although being printable does mean that all parts can be easily replaced except for the PCB and motors. This project primarily serves as a proof of concept, and I have no reason to keep the files to myself.
