Xmas treetop Deathstar - laser cutter pattern

I designed a Christmas card called "family star wars" where a star wars enthusiast kept replacing his sister's rainbow unicorn star on the xmas tree with a deathstar, then I thought, hey I could actually make one of those on the laser cutter at the hackerspace and set out to create it. After some trial runs, you now have the latest version. Print Settings Printer: Laser Cutter Rafts: Doesn't matter Supports: Doesn't matter Notes: There is a lot of etching due to the hatching which was exploded, so it was accepted by our laser cutter. Ensure the cutouts are there for the mounts (4 pairs), as these are the only cuts inside the deathstar's outer circle cut. The mounts have a 3mm hole in them so a piece of fencing wire can be threaded through for extra support. Check the order of the etches/cuts, as you should do all etching first and then cut out the small items that may blow up before doing the outer cuts last. I found it best to sand off the laser burn from the end of the mounts before gluing them in place; the rectangle black/brown marks are visually distracting and don't match the deathstar's patterns. Post-Printing I have now reinforced the mounting system, as the thin mounts were getting crushed when packed away in my backpack.
