pinshape
I know it's a bit early for Christmas, but I'm excited to share this Xmas Tree build with you guys! Here's what you'll need: * A printed tree in vase mode (spiral printing) with no bottom layer * Inside 1/2: create the stand inside and use superglue to secure it * No soldering or programming required, so everyone can make and enjoy it A few things are needed to complete the project: Copper Tape - https://goo.gl/rBbn3K RGB slow colour changing LEDs - https://goo.gl/4o5koe 9V battery - (available at a local shop) Battery cover or cable connector - https://goo.gl/UD5cvM Take a close look at the tree inside image to get an idea of what's involved. I'll upload a video link when it's ready. Check out the video here: https://www.facebook.com/3dFilaprint Video Link: https://youtu.be/2aP6Ma8JYQA Print Settings: Printer Brand: Deltaprintr Printer: Deltaprintr Kit Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Notes: We used the "Mini Kossel" to print the tree. Filament: PLA Xmas green reprapper tech (Alternative pick from Fillamentum colours) Vase Mode or single layer spiral mode No bottom Layers Layer resolution depends on you guys, but we used a 0.3mm layer height with a 0.8mm nozzle for this quick test print. Post-Printing: Assemble the inner part by gluing open edges to the sides of inside 1 part. Use copper tape to stick to the sides of all panels and connect them in a way that opposite sides are negative and positive (see image). Connect battery wire connector with negative and positive panels. Attach the battery, test positive and negative LEDs, and secure them in place with copper tape. Place the tree on top - done! Have fun building this project if you need help, just drop a comment.
