The XM803 was essentially a cost-cutting variant of the ambitious MBT-70 project, which ultimately fell short in meeting its intended price point and was subsequently scrapped. For model railroaders, the XM803 makes an excellent choice at a scale of 1/285, with a recommended 37% reduction in size for accurate representation. However, due to its specific design parameters, it's not advisable to attempt scaling it up or down for other miniature scales.
