XLR short right-angle cap for Neutrik connectors
thingiverse
This plug makes it effortless to construct right-angle cables utilizing Neutrik NC3-X connectors. Two cap versions are available, allowing you to position the cable exit either left or right based on your specific requirements. They function seamlessly with both male and female connectors. Cut off the threads from the connector shell - a hacksaw does the trick, although a Dremel would also work. Secure a small zip tie around your cable for effective strain relief. It requires a firm push (or a firm tap) to get the plug seated properly. The key on the cap slips into the slot at the bottom of the connector shell, while the inner flange keeps the connector firmly in place. So far, I haven't encountered any issues with the caps coming loose accidentally; however, you can always opt for gluing them in place if necessary. The cable exit is specifically designed to accommodate Redco TGS-01 cables (3.7mm diameter), so you might need to adjust it for your cable's size. *UPDATE*: I've added two variants that allow the cable to exit towards the top of the XLR. *UPDATE 8/12/19*: After successful use with Redco branded male XLR connectors, I assume female connectors will also work.
