This plug make it easy to build right-angle cables using Neutrik NC3-X connectors. There are two versions of the cap; this way you can have the cable exit toward the left or right based on your application. These work on male and female connectors.

Cut the threads off the connector shell- I used a hacksaw, a Dremel would also work. Put a small ziptie on your cable to act as a strain relief. It should take a strong push (or a smack) to get the plug to seat. The key on the cap goes into the slot at the bottom of the connector shell, and the inner flange will keep the connector in place. I haven't had an issue with the caps coming out accidentally but you could always glue them in place if it becomes an issue.

The cable exit is sized for Redco TGS-01 cable (3.7mm diameter), so you may have to adjust the exit for your cable.

UPDATE Added two variants so that the cable can exit toward the top of the XLR.

UPDATE 8/12/19 I've successfully used these with Redco branded male XLR connectors, I'd assume the female will also work.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Monoprice

Printer:

Select Mini

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.175mm

Infill:

22%

Category: Audio
