XL belt tensioner
pinshape
After successfully creating a tensioner for HTD 3M, I needed to replicate it for another system that utilizes XL belts. So, I adapted John Newman's Y-belt retainer/tensioner design to suit my new belt requirements. To use this tensioner, first ensure it can work with T5 belts as well, since they are nearly identical in dimensions. You'll notice a nut trap that securely holds an M3 or can be tightened using an M4 bolt if you choose not to use a nut. Insert the belt from the side where the channel indentations match. This may take some time and effort to get it properly seated.
