XK-77 "Vulture" Fire Support Armor

Capable of rapidly inserting from a low-flying dropship, the XK-77 "Vulture" deals death from afar. Vultures are deployed when the enemy armor has proven to be too much even for the elite Falcon pilots of the Coalition war cadre. In the anti-tank role the Vulture mounts twin heavy gauss cannons, some of the most deadly direct-fire weapons that the galaxy has ever seen. These paired guns each accelerate a 12mm ferro-tungsten slug up to 1.3% of the light speed. The impact of such a projectile has been reported to punch a neat 12mm hole all the way through a heavy tank, leaving the crew as a fine smear fanning out of the exit hole. Alternately the XK-77 can be equipped with heavy missile racks to act as mobile artillery, filling the air with screaming rockets and pasting enemy infantry. In either role the mere rumor of the deployment of vultures in a battle zone has driven entire companies of enemy troops to surrender on the spot. When faced with the prospect of assaulting these mechanical monsters over open ground, even veteran troops know that they're being sent on a suicide mission.
