Mounting help for the X45Tp turboprop. Allt parts very simplified to print easy on any printer. Added text on the dummy too as I saw some assembly video on youtube there they actually mounted the engine upside down in the plane(!) Not easy to know. By doing it clever you can now first align the engine BEFORE needing to cut the firewall. It's like magic, but for real :-) Helps aligning engine Helps drlling hole pattern Helps cutting the firewall Helps marking and the cowl for cutting exhaust holes Prop hole taps to M10. Rear hole in the knob taps M5. Exhaust holes drills out to 10mm to make a 10mm drill slide with no binding. It's one short dummy that aligns in a DL50 pattern. Centers on the rear knob too. If it's too small just print an adaptor to fit your needs. Before cutting or drilling you can mount the dummy using the rear hole in the knob only. M5 acrew and washer does the trick. Now align the cowl before needing to cut or drill anything. With the dummy mounted place a 10mm drill in the exhausts, mount the cowl and by hand drill the starter hole in the cowl to know your center. When done aligning remove the dummy and mount the firewall cutting guide to make the square hole to fit the engine. Screw it in place and take your time cutting along the jigg. Done, everything aligns 100% with no false cuts. Dummy + Generator also imitates the full X45Tp for mounting and checking clearances. Way easier to print then the Xicoy stl files. (This is verified to an IRL engine and not from Xicoy drawings (which actually were 2mm off regards of aligning the engine.) Xicoy are very welcome to share my files on their web to.
