Recently, our Xiaomi vacuum robot took a tumble down the stairs due to a rather careless corner in the staircase. Miraculously, the robot emerged unscathed, with only one hinge of the lid and the bumper showing signs of damage. So I salvaged the intact hinge, measured it meticulously, and 3D printed two new ones from scratch. They fit like a glove and possess just a hint more stiffness than their original counterparts. Print the hinge on its side for added strength and durability. These tiny parts necessitate a .1 mm resolution and a brim to prevent warping, so print them slowly and deliberately. Supports are also a must-have in this case. To create two identical hinges, you'll need to mirror this one carefully - they're not symmetrical after all.
