XIAOMI Mijia Screwdriver Set replacement latch holder

<p>&nbsp;</p><p>XIAOMI Mijia Screwdriver (with or without motor, also sold as "Xiaomi Wiha", "Klearlook" and "Ollivan") is a compact little set that in contained in an aluminium extrusion where one end is plugged and contains a latch that you fasten the screwdriver and bit carrier to by pushing it into the extrusion. If that latch malfunctions, or as in my case is DoA it can be replaced with a cheap spare latch from amazon (see models.txt), but the holder for the latch will most likely be destroyed since it's fastened with super glue. This print will replace the holder.</p><p>The plug that the holder is screwed to first needs to be extracted. It is unfortunately also glued in, but it's plastic to metal and a small area, so it can be softened enough to just push out. Put the end with the plug into some hot water with washing-up liquid and let it sit for an hour or two, then use a long object to push it out. You can then unlatch the bottom plate of the plug which gives access to two screws used to fasten the latch holder.</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:55.63%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/218426/rich_content/2105ba46-3b74-4ff6-bbae-6decc5e93f78/pxl_20220601_004955861.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%2269d24ef5-9693-4d2e-a035-69feedd5fe8e%22%2C%22w%22%3A3024%2C%22h%22%3A4032%7D"></figure><p>It might at this point be possible to remove the latch from the holder, but it's plastic sides where glued to the holder in my case, so the holder was deformed enough after forcibly removing the latch that it could no longer clip reliably to the replacement latch. Printing a new one just takes a few g of filament and 15min, so no point in trying to save it.</p><p>Print without support and use a small file to even out any bridge sagging. Printing supports in the loops is likely to break the loop when cleaning up. Ask me how I know…</p>
