I've struggled to find reliable protective glass screen covers for my Xiaomi MI MIX, mainly due to its rounded edges, so I've come up with a custom hard case featuring a sliding lid that safeguards my MIX when it's stored in a backpack or bag. This design is specifically intended for use with the standard leather-like case, and includes an extra recessed area on the screen-facing surface of the hard case to maintain a safe distance from the phone display.
