New Design Unveiled Here A Strong, Durable Mi Band 2 Replacement Wristband Made from Magnetic Filament-Fused Materials Unfortunately, my original MiBand wristband just broke apart. I've always been fascinated by metal watches and wanted a band that reflected this style. This is why I created a new replacement design. What You Need to Get Started * A 3D Printer * Raw bits of 1.75mm filament * Four magnets (6mm diameter x 3mm) * Superglue Show Off Your Creation: Post an "I Made One" if you successfully build this project! Get Ready to Enjoy Printing, Running, Fusing, Timing, and Monitoring Fun! Post-Printing Assembly Instructions Connect as many links as needed to the ends of the shell. Insert small bits of raw filament into the holes. Then connect the two magnetic end parts together. To secure the filament in place, heat a thick needle with a lighter and carefully poke each end of the raw filament. This causes the filament ends to expand, preventing them from falling out. Finally, glue two magnets into each end part. The individual links are fused together using raw bits of 1.75mm filament.
