I'm going to modify a cheap air purifier using just a Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 filter and a powerful 120mm PC fan. For other fan sizes, you can use these adapters: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21112. A strong fan is recommended since the original Air Purifier 2 has around 20W of fan power. You can use an adjustable power converter for under $1 to power the fan (up to 10W) via any Micro USB power supply.
