Xiaomi M365 front wheel hub protective ring
thingiverse
This ring is designed to be 3D-printed in two separate pieces. Each piece will be carefully glued onto either side of the front wheel hub, providing a crucial barrier against sand and dirt that can accumulate when riding a scooter in rainy conditions. Living in a country with poor road maintenance, such as Romania, only exacerbates this problem. When mounted correctly, these rings are engineered to deflect water flow away from the center of the wheel hub as it rotates, effectively keeping the bearings clean and dry. To make installation easier, one side of each ring features a carefully designed cut along its circumference. This enables riders to fit the rings onto their scooter without having to remove the front wheel. However, for optimal results, it's recommended that riders take the extra step of removing the front wheel – a process that should take less than 5 minutes with the right tools. This ensures a seamless and secure installation. Installing these rings is a straightforward process: 1. Apply glue specifically to the cylinder edge of each ring, avoiding the conical edge altogether. 2. Carefully align each ring around the center of the wheel and press it firmly into place. 3. Repeat this procedure on both sides of the front wheel for complete protection. 4. Refer to the attached pictures for a clearer visual guide. Here are the print settings required: * Print your rings upside down. * Printer model: Ender 3 * Rafts: Not needed * Supports: None required * Resolution: .2mm * Infill density doesn't significantly impact the outcome.
