I'm so protective of my Xiaomi M365 that I don't want it stolen. While there are anti-theft devices on the market, most simply lock a wheel, which leaves me vulnerable to having my scooter carried away or moved onto its other wheel. I also dislike the necessity of bending down to apply these devices. That's why I created this solution. Essentially, it's a 1-meter-long stainless steel wire with a lock and mounting components designed to be stored on the scooter when not in use. The 3mm-diameter wire is secured by pressed aluminum ferrules. Two separate parts - each split into two halves - need to be attached to the steering rod of the scooter. The upper part holds the wire and lock in place, while the lower part features a hook around which the wire can be wound when not in use. Since each part is divided into two halves, they can easily be fastened to the scooter by tightening those halves together using M3 screws and nuts.
