Xiaomi Body detector (Motion detector) ceiling or wall mount
thingiverse
This is a bracket for wall or ceiling mounting of the Xiaomi Human body sensor, marketed as a human body sensor but essentially a motion detector. It also works with the Aqara version, which has the same physical form factor but a button instead of a hole to poke. Since this bracket wasn't designed specifically for the Aqara version, the button and hole don't line up perfectly, but it still functions well. These sensors are very affordable, costing around $10 USD, and use the Zigbee protocol, allowing them to be connected to a Smartthings hub. A custom device type was written by a4refillpad on GitHub for it. This bracket is designed to attach your sensor to the wall or ceiling using US common gold screws, drywall screws, or wood screws. There are two versions: a simple one with only a bottom screw mount and a more complex one with holes for mounting horizontally as well. For my printer, the complex version took 22 minutes and about 1.64 meters of filament to print. I printed it quickly and lightly because nobody needs to see these mounts. I used 5% infill and a speed of 100mm/s. I used this bracket to mount the Xiaomi motion detector in a laundry room closet. I've included the .f3d files from Fusion 360 if you'd like to try remixing them.
