<p>Folding hood to direct the outflow of air from your Xiaomi Air Purifier to be able to use it as a fan.</p><p>Compatible with all Xiaomi models, (all Xiaomi Air Purifier models are supposed to measure 26x26cm, check yours to make sure and don't forget to share your experience with others with a make).</p><p>The hood allows directing the air flow from parallel to the ground at about 60º upwards. A small key allows to fix the position of the hood.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Confirmed Compatible Models</h3><ul><li>Xiaomi Air Purifier 3H <i>by @Katarn</i></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Contact glue.</li><li>3x small zip ties.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Printing</h3><ul><li>All parts are already oriented and do not require supports to be printed.</li><li>Print 2 axis caps and 1 key just like you normally print.</li><li>To print the base and the hood as quickly as possible, I recommend using the following parameters (guidelines for 0.4mm nozzles):<ul><li><strong>0.3mm layer height</strong> (speed mode).</li><li><strong>0% infill</strong>.</li><li><strong>3 perimeters</strong>.</li><li>If you are using PrusaSlicer, <strong>disable “Ensure vertical shell thickness”</strong> option inside ”Quality" on “Layers and perimeters” (with 3 perimeters is more than enough and this only slows down the printing).</li><li>Depending on the size of your printer, you may need to disable the Skirts and Brims to fit everything on the bed (MK3S requires it).</li><li>I have used these parameters for my print, <strong>check the photos to see the quality</strong>.</li></ul></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Assembly</h3><ol><li>Fit the hood inside the base by matching the axes. Being so big and having printed it hollow it should have enough flexibility to make this easy.</li><li>Notice that the axle caps have a small circle, apply some contact glue on these circles and stick them to the base making them coincide with the axis of the base. In this way the hood can no longer come off the base. Make sure that no glue falls anywhere on the hood, otherwise it will not be able to be folded down correctly.</li><li>It is a good time to fold the hood and check that the axis works correctly, also take the opportunity to check that the key works correctly too. Fix the hood with the key in its most open position (the one that makes it coincide exactly with the base), this is necessary to facilitate the next step.</li><li>Place the whole set on your purifier making it fit in the upper part, make sure that the three small tabs on the base line up with the upper grill of your purifier.</li><li>Secure these tabs to the purifier grill using the zip ties. For this, bend the tip of the zip ties so that they are hook-shaped, insert them through the grid until the tip of the zip tie is on the other side and then go back up to grab te tip.</li></ol>
