The Eastern Qing Mausoleum is an imperial necropolis complex that serves as the final resting place for royalty and members of the Qing Dynasty court. Situated near Zunhua, 125 kilometers northeast of Beijing, researchers consider it to be China's most comprehensive and best preserved extant mausoleum complex. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, the Imperial Tombs of the Qing and Ming Dynasties are recognized as a "masterpiece of human creative genius."
