XG5 - ATX Computer Case
thingiverse
Having always been drawn to the sleek design of the Apple G5 case, I've always felt limited by generic, uninspired cases that fail to capture my imagination. Inspired by the elegant lines and curves of the G5 case, I wanted to create something truly unique. This project is a complex one, requiring a significant amount of time, effort, and materials. Don't even think about attempting to complete it overnight – you'll need: * A substantial block of time, measured in hours or even days * Approximately 2 kilograms of filament, carefully selected for its quality and consistency * No fewer than 162 M3 nuts, precision-engineered for optimal performance * Thirty M3x16mm bolts, strategically deployed to provide maximum stability * An additional 162 M3x12mm bolts, expertly aligned to ensure seamless integration * Between four and seven motherboard standoffs and screws, carefully chosen to accommodate your specific motherboard size * Zero to seven Thumb screws, depending on the number of PCI cards you plan to install * A vandal-proof switch, ideally featuring a silver finish and red LED illumination Once you've gathered all the necessary components and printed out each part with precision and care, assembly should be a relatively straightforward process. If, however, you encounter any difficulties or challenges, please don't hesitate to reach out for assistance – I'll do my best to guide you through any issues that may arise. If you're feeling inspired to improve upon the design or offer your own unique twist, I encourage you to share your ideas and even create a remix of the original design. This way, others can benefit from your creative vision and expertise. If you don't happen to have access to a 3D printer yourself, don't worry – you can always contact me through my Etsy store, where I'll be more than happy to print out the case for you: https://www.etsy.com/shop/XDr4g0nX3DPrinting
