White Fir (Abies concolor) trees, found in the west of North America including Colorado, California and Mexico, are evergreen conifers that thrive in mountainous, temperate, cool environments such as evergreen mountain forests. These frost-hardy trees can grow on deep, fertile soil types and are appreciated for their visual impact in both urban landscapes and rural areas; however, they may not tolerate high levels of pollution well.
