The Roughbarked Apple (Angophora intermedia) is an evergreen broadleaf tree with a columnar height ranging from 3-16 meters. Native to Eastern Australia, this species thrives in sub-coastal districts on alluvial plains, tablelands, and well-drained sandy or loamy soils. As part of the Myrtaceae family, Angophora shares similarities with Eucalypts but is a distinct genus. Its bark is characterized by its rough texture and varied colors. The cream-colored flowering features soft large inflorescence, while the twisted secondary branches are unique to this species. Due to the growth habit of some species resembling apple trees, Angophoras are commonly called Apple trees.
