The Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa), a widespread evergreen conifer, is native to Western North America from British Columbia to Mexico. It thrives in mountain slope environments under warm, mild, and temperate climates. Also known as the Western Yellow Pine, it serves both as a source of wood and an ornamental tree in city parks. After the last glacial era, its widespread expansion was facilitated by low-intensity wildfires that destroyed smaller species but left Ponderosa pines unscathed. Xfrog Software offers Model 1 at 30 meters, Model 2 at 18 meters, and Model 3 at 7.5 meters for Ponderosa Pine.
