The Manna Gum (Eucalyptus viminalis), also referred to as Wild Gum or Ribbon Gum, is a broadleaf evergreen tree that grows between heights of 2m and 22m in columnar forms. Native to southeastern Australia and Tasmania, it thrives in mountain forests with warm, temperate climates. One of the most distinguishing features of this species is its leaves which are a favorite food source for koalas due to their high sugar content. The sap's sweetness also makes the tree trunk an essential nourishment for marsupial mammals that reside in trees. Despite having easily workable timber, it has low durability. In Tasmania, the tallest known Manna Gum reaches 89m in height, making it a noteworthy sight.
