Japanese Medlar (Eriobotrya japonica) trees, evergreen broadleaf plants, originate from Japan and China, thriving in fields up to 600m elevation on rich, fertile soil. They can be found in temperate, cool climates and are valued for both their ornamental qualities (due to small size and evergreen leaves) and edible fruits. However, the tree needs warmer areas to produce fruit since cold temperatures render the autumn bloom sterile. It's a fast-growing tree that doesn't tolerate drought, with Model 1 reaching 8 meters, Model 2 reaching 3.5 meters, and Model 3 reaching 2 meters.
