It grows up to 50 cm tall and originates from countries such as Spain, Italy, Greece, and Northern Africa. The plant thrives in underwood, grasslands, and well-drained, sandy loamy soil, preferring warm, mild climates. Gladiolus features a bulb and has leaves that resemble small swords, hence the name.
