Cycadeoidea gigantea, a plant from the Jurassic to Early Cretaceous period, thrived in diffused environments such as forests and open plains during warm and humid climates. These plants, belonging to the Cycadales family and more specifically Cycadeoideae (similar to Bennettitales), were so abundant during the Jurassic that it's often referred to as the "Cycads age." Some of these plants could grow tall enough to be considered trees. The Cycadales and Cycadeoideae families evolved from Pteridosperms, with different fates: while Cycadales survived the Mesozoic era and exist today, Cycadeoideae, which was more numerous in the Mesozoic, could not survive the Cretaceous mass extinction and perished alongside the dinosaurs. Model 1 measures 2.5 meters, Model 2 is 1.5 meters, and Model 3 stands at 1 meter.
